Filters
- Pre-filter (washable): catches Dubai dust before the coil.
- Fine filter: replaced, not washed.
- Carbon filter, where fitted: replaced when odours return.
Drain and coil
- The condensate drain and trap are checked and flushed so water never backs up into the ceiling void.
- The evaporator coil is inspected and cleaned. A dusty coil holds moisture and grows the mould the unit is there to prevent.
- The fan, humidistat calibration and refrigerant circuit are checked at the same visit.
What a yearly service visit covers
- Filter change, drain flush, coil clean, controller check, RH sensor check against a reference meter, and a short run test with before-and-after readings.
- Cost: price on request, as part of a service plan.
Lifespan
- What shortens it: blocked filters, a blocked drain, and an undersized unit running flat out all summer. What extends it: correct sizing and the yearly visit.
