Air quality
Dehumidification and air filtration in one concealed system
Every ducted system we install filters the air as it dries it: a washable pre-filter, a fine filter stage and an activated-carbon stage. Mould spores, dust and odours leave the air with the moisture, on every pass, in every room on the ducts. One concealed system, whole home, nothing on show. Filter grades are published from the manufacturer datasheet.

What you are seeing
Dust settles within a day of cleaning
Fine dust that gets past the AC's coarse filter and settles on dark surfaces every day.
Sneezing, itchy eyes and breathing trouble indoors
High humidity feeds dust mites and mould spores; the symptoms show at night and ease outdoors.
Kitchen and AC odours that linger
Cooking, the musty AC start-up and the smell from damp cupboards stay in a sealed home.
Why it happens
Humidity and air quality are the same problem seen twice. Above 60 % RH, dust mites and mould thrive and release the particles that cause the symptoms; a sealed home holds those particles and the odours with them. The AC's filter is designed to protect the coil, not the lungs.
A portable purifier cleans one room; a portable dehumidifier dries one room; a 2-in-1 does both for one room and needs emptying. None of them touches the air in the next room.
A ducted unit passes every room's air through three stages as it dries it: a washable pre-filter for coarse dust, a fine filter stage for spores and fine particles, and activated carbon for odours. The filter grades and change intervals are datasheet figures.
What changes with a ducted system
Filtration on every pass, in every room on the ducts.
Humidity and particles handled by one concealed system.
Filter life shown on the controller; changes on a schedule.
Which system fits
Every family carries the same three filtration stages. The choice is about airflow and fresh air, not about filtration.
Typical system
Series R: recirculating ducted dehumidifier
Dries the air already in the building and returns it through its own ducts. The usual choice for villas, apartments, offices and basements.
For most homes the air already inside needs drying and filtering. The recirculating unit does both on every pass through its own ducts.
- Ceiling void of a corridor or bathroom
- Three stages: washable pre-filter, fine stage, carbon
- Filter status on the controller
Typical system
Series T: ducted fresh-air treatment unit
Treats the fresh air before it reaches the rooms: filters it, dries it and exhausts the stale air.
Dust and odours that arrive with the fresh air are stopped at the intake: the treatment unit filters and dries the outdoor air before it reaches the rooms.
- Fits the fresh-air path
- Protects the AC coils as well as the rooms
- Combined with Series R for full coverage
Typical system
Series F: fresh-air dehumidifier with heat recovery
Brings in filtered outdoor air, dries it and recovers energy from the exhaust. For buildings that need a fresh-air supply as well as humidity control.
Homes that want filtered outdoor air rather than opening windows take the fresh-air dehumidifier: filtered, dried, with heat recovery from the exhaust.
- Replaces the untreated fresh-air intake
- Dust-filtered outdoor air with the energy recovered
- Suits villas with a plant room
Portable 2-in-1 or a ducted system
| What matters | Portable 2-in-1 unitone unit per room | Ducted systemwhole home, concealed |
|---|---|---|
| Covers the whole home? | One room at a time; a supplementary tool, not a whole-villa fix[1] | Every room on the ducts |
| Holds a set humidity? | In that room, while it runs and the tank has space | Yes, from one controller, with a drain |
| Filtration | One small filter, changed often | Pre-filter, fine stage and carbon on every pass |
| Noise in the room | Compressor in the room; a 30 L model was measured at 57 dB[2] | Unit in the ceiling void; only grilles in the room |
| Emptying | Tank; a 20 L unit can fill a 4 to 5 L tank in under a day in summer[3] | Plumbed drain, nothing to empty |
| Visible equipment | A box in each room | Grilles and a wall controller |
| Indicative cost | AED 540 to 850 for common 12 to 20 L models, per room[3] | Price on request |

How we fix it, in order
- 01
Survey the home
Humidity in every room, the AC filter and intake, fresh-air path, ceiling void, drain and power. We ask about allergies and where the dust and odours show.

- 02
Size the airflow and the moisture load
Air changes per room and the moisture load set the unit; the filtration comes with it. Airflow and capacity are datasheet figures.

- 03
Install, commission, schedule the filters
Unit, ducts, grilles, drain and controller above the ceiling. Handover includes the filter change schedule and the readings report.

Projects in this space
Every installation is documented with dated humidity readings, photos and the owner's consent. Nothing is published before it is real; the first case studies are being written.
Filtration and air quality questions
What grade is the fine filter?
The grade of each stage comes from the manufacturer datasheet for each model and is published once the supplier confirms it. We publish the figure, not a label.
Does it replace an air purifier?
For the rooms on the ducts, yes: the air passes the three stages on every cycle. A portable purifier cleans one room while it runs; the ducted system treats the whole home continuously.
How often are the filters changed?
The pre-filter is washed; the fine and carbon stages are replaced at the interval the datasheet gives for each model. The controller shows the filter status, and a service plan can cover the changes.
Will it help with allergies?
Lower humidity removes the conditions dust mites and mould need, and the filtration takes their particles out of the air. Residents in reported cases describe symptoms easing once the mould was gone. Speak to a doctor about the symptoms themselves.
