Series R · Recirculating ducted
Series R: recirculating ducted dehumidifier
A concealed whole-house dehumidifier for villas and apartments. The unit sits above the ceiling, draws room air through its own return grille, dries and filters it, and returns it through the supply grilles. A humidistat holds the humidity you set, including while you are abroad.

System details
Recirculates, dries, filters, returns
Series R works on the air already in the building. Humid room air enters through a return grille, passes a cooling coil where moisture condenses to a drain, is reheated and filtered, and returns through the supply grilles at a lower relative humidity. The AC keeps controlling temperature; Series R controls humidity.
It suits homes with a working fresh-air supply, or sealed apartments where a separate fresh-air unit (Series F or Series T) handles the outdoor air.
- One unit per zone or floor, sized to the moisture load
- Dedicated return and supply ducts, never into the AC ductwork
- Plumbed condensate drain, no tank to empty
- Humidistat control from a wall panel
Three stages in the airstream
A washable pre-filter catches dust and fibres, a fine-filter stage removes fine particles and spores, and an activated-carbon stage reduces odours. Filter grades, replacement intervals and part numbers are on the datasheet; the controller shows when a filter is due.
- Pre-filter: washable
- Fine-filter stage: replaced on the datasheet interval
- Activated carbon: replaced on the datasheet interval
Runs on demand, not all day
With a setpoint the unit runs only while the reading is above it, then holds. A continuous-fan mode keeps the air moving and filtered between cycles, and a long-absence setting keeps the home within range during a summer trip.
- Humidity setpoint: runs on demand
- Continuous fan with dehumidification
- Fan only: circulation and filtration
One wall controller per unit
The controller shows the current reading, the setpoint and the filter status. Each unit has its own controller; several units in one villa are set independently by zone.
- Setpoint, reading and filter indicator on the panel
Where it goes
Where the unit sits and how the air moves
Only the grilles and the wall controller stay visible. The unit, its ducts and its drain are above the ceiling.
- 01
Above the ceiling
The unit sits in the false-ceiling void or a plant room on anti-vibration mounts, with an access panel for filter changes. Ceiling height: on the datasheet.

- 02
Its own ducts
A return grille draws air from the zone; supply grilles return it. The installer sizes the ducts to the unit's airflow and static pressure. Nothing connects to the AC ductwork.

- 03
Drain and controls
Condensate runs by gravity to a drain, or through a condensate pump where there is no fall. There is no tank. The wall controller sits where the family will read it.

Technical data
Published figures only
Every row below comes from the manufacturer datasheet at its stated test conditions. A row without a published figure is marked, never guessed. Competitor pages in the UAE list contradictory filtration specs; ours cite the sheet.
The manufacturer datasheet for this family has not been published yet, so no figure is shown here: capacity, airflow, sound level and power are quoted per project after the survey, and the table fills in the day the datasheet arrives.
Installation requirements (for professionals)
What the MEP consultant or contractor needs to reserve before the unit arrives. Exact values are on the datasheet; our team confirms them on the survey.
Ceiling void and access
Clear height, service clearance and an access panel sized for filter changes. Values: on the datasheet.
Duct connections
Dedicated return and supply spigots; sizes and external static pressure on the datasheet. Never into the AC ductwork.
Condensate drain
Gravity drain with a continuous fall and a trap, or a condensate pump. The drain route is agreed on the survey.
Power and controls
Supply rating and controller cable route: on the datasheet. An isolator within reach of the unit.
Engineering limits
Stated plainly, so nobody buys the wrong thing.
- Never connected into the AC ductwork: the unit runs on its own ducts.
- Does not cool. The AC controls temperature; Series R controls humidity.
- Does not remove mould that has already grown. Remediation first, then humidity control.
- Sizing is never by floor area alone: moisture load, fresh-air rate, glazing and occupancy decide.
- Rated capacity at 30 °C / 80 % RH is higher than what the unit collects in a cooled room.

What size dehumidifier do you need?
Sizing by moisture load, not floor area: a table by property type, ceiling height, occupancy and wet rooms, and the steps to work out litres a day.

Questions about this system
Short answers. The full list of questions is on the FAQ page.
Does Series R connect to my AC ducts?
No. It runs on its own return and supply ducts and is never connected into the AC ductwork. The AC keeps cooling; Series R holds the humidity.
Does it work while the AC is off and I am away?
Yes. The humidistat runs the unit only while the reading is above the setpoint, so the home stays within range during a long trip without anyone emptying a tank. Condensate goes to the drain.
How loud is it in the bedroom?
The unit sits in the ceiling void or a plant room, not in the room. What you hear is air at the grille; the sound level at the grille is a datasheet figure and is listed in the technical data above once published.
How many litres a day does my villa need?
It depends on the moisture load, not the floor area: occupancy, showers and kitchens, the fresh-air rate, glazing and how airtight the villa is. Rated capacity is measured at 30 °C and 80 % RH, so a datasheet figure is higher than what the unit collects in a cooled room. The survey report states the unit and why.
Does it cool the air?
No. Dehumidified air leaves the unit slightly warmer than it entered. Drier air feels cooler at the same temperature, and the AC no longer fights the moisture, but temperature control stays with the AC.
Can it be retrofitted into an existing villa or apartment?
Usually, yes. It needs a ceiling void or plant room with enough height, routes for a return duct and supply ducts, and a fall to a drain or a condensate pump. The survey checks all three before anything is quoted.
